What Dram Shelf stores

Dram Shelf is a whisky tasting journal and bottle collection. It stores your tastings, notes, ratings, bottles, wishlist and photos you add only on your iPhone, inside the app. We do not have a server that receives it, and we cannot see it. If your iPhone backup is turned on, it is included in your iCloud or computer backup like any other app's data, under Apple's control. Deleting the app deletes this data.

What leaves your iPhone

• Dram Shelf works fully offline. Reading a bottle label from a photo happens on your iPhone with Apple's text recognition.
• Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to check whether you have an active subscription. It receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts from Apple, not your name, email or anything you create in the app.

What we don't do

• No account or sign-up.
• No advertising and no ad SDKs.
• No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, and no tracking across apps or websites.
• We never sell or share personal data.

Permissions

• Photos / Camera (optional): only to add a picture of a bottle or read its label.

You can change any permission in the iPhone Settings app at any time.

Children

Dram Shelf is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
