Inklift Privacy Policy
Last updated October 22, 2026
The short version: Inklift has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. What you put in the app stays on your iPhone.
What Inklift stores
Inklift is a text scanner (image to text). It stores your scans: page images and the recognised text only on your iPhone, inside the app. We do not have a server that receives it, and we cannot see it. If your iPhone backup is turned on, it is included in your iCloud or computer backup like any other app's data, under Apple's control. Deleting the app deletes this data.
What leaves your iPhone
- Text recognition runs on your iPhone with Apple's Vision framework. Your pages and text are never uploaded.
- Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to check whether you have an active subscription. It receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts from Apple, not your name, email or anything you create in the app.
What we don't do
- No account or sign-up.
- No advertising and no ad SDKs.
- No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, and no tracking across apps or websites.
- We never sell or share personal data.
Permissions
- Camera (optional): only to scan documents.
- Photos (optional): only the photos you pick to import.
You can change any permission in the iPhone Settings app at any time.
Children
Inklift is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
